The 2 of Us
A private finance tracker for a two-person household. It is a web application built and run by Cornfield Media, LLC, sold as a subscription priced per household rather than per person.
What you get
A shared ledger
Bank connections
Categories that are yours
Settle up
Two-factor authentication
Your data, exportable
Pricing
One plan, charged to the household rather than the person. No add-ons, no setup fee, no per-seat charge.
The 2 of Us
Monthly, per householdbilled in USD, cancel any time
The current amount is shown to you in the app before you are asked to confirm anything, and again on Stripe’s hosted checkout page. Starting the free trial does not commit you to it.
- Both people in the household, on one subscription
- Unlimited transactions, categories and date ranges
- Bank connections through Plaid, or keep everything by hand
- Two-factor authentication and one-time backup codes
- Full data export, at any time, including after you cancel
- Email support answered within one business day
A new household gets 14 days free. We do not ask for a card to start it, so a trial cannot roll silently into a charge. When it ends, the household goes read-only until somebody subscribes.
What you are charged, and when
- The first charge happens when you subscribe, not when you register. The trial is free and cardless.
- The household is the customer. One subscription covers everyone in it. Joining a household that already pays costs nothing extra and there is nothing separate for the second person to buy.
- Renewal is every month on the same date, at the price you confirmed, until the subscription is canceled.
- Everything is quoted and charged in USD. Your bank may add its own conversion or foreign transaction fee, which is between you and them.
- Applicable sales tax or VAT is calculated by Stripe at checkout and shown before you confirm.
- Payment is handled by Stripe. Card details go to Stripe and never reach our servers.
If the price changes
We tell you before a new price applies to your household, and you can cancel before it takes effect. A price change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
Canceling
Cancel any time from Settings → Billing in the app, which opens Stripe’s billing portal. Canceling stops future charges; the household keeps working normally through the end of the period already paid for. The full text is in the refund and cancellation policy.
The details worth knowing before you pay
How it is delivered
The 2 of Us is software as a service, delivered over the web at www.the2ofus.app. There is nothing to install and nothing is shipped to you, so there is no physical goods return process: the relevant policy is the refund and cancellation policy. It works in a current version of any major browser.
What happens if you stop paying
A household that lapses becomes read-only rather than closed. Everything already recorded stays visible, searchable and downloadable, and nothing is deleted. What stops is adding and editing, linking a new bank, and importing anything new from banks already linked. Subscribing again restores all of it.
What it is not
- It is not financial advice. It shows you your own numbers. What to do about them is your decision, and worth a professional’s input for anything significant.
- It is not a bank and it does not move money. Settle-up figures are a suggestion of who owes whom; any actual payment happens between you, elsewhere.
- It is not your system of record. Imported data can arrive late, incomplete, or restated by your bank. Treat your bank’s own statements as authoritative, especially before a decision that depends on an exact figure.
Who can buy it
You need to be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. Cornfield Media, LLC is organized in the State of Iowa, United States, and sells this subscription anywhere payment can lawfully be accepted, which excludes countries and individuals subject to United States sanctions and export controls. Bank linking is limited to the institutions Plaid supports; the product still works by hand without it.
Who is behind it
Cornfield Media, LLC, an independent software studio. Support and billing questions go to support@cornfieldmedia.com, answered within one business day, or through the form on the support page. The product’s own terms and privacy policy are published with it and are readable without an account.
